Bio

Cari Cinamella, OD, is an optometrist whose training began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Scranton. The Doctor of Optometry degree followed from Salus University, awarded with honors. Internship training then ran through the Allentown VA Clinic, The Eye Institute at Salus University, and a refractive and cataract surgery practice, covering primary eye care, ocular disease, and the surgical pathway in turn.

Dr. Cinamella's practice centers on LASIK and refractive surgery care, cataract surgery co-management, glaucoma management, and dry eye treatment. Patients are seen first for the measurements and examinations that establish whether surgery is appropriate, then through the visits that track healing and vision in the weeks that follow. Glaucoma and dry eye are managed on a longer arc, with pressure checks, imaging, and treatment adjustments made over time. In both groups the aim is the same: find a problem early, explain it in plain terms, and change course when the eye asks for it.

In Dr. Cinamella's own words, "Most of my work happens before and after the operating room, and that is where patients decide whether they feel confident about the whole process. I want every patient to leave knowing what was done, what comes next, and who to call."
