Bio

Christopher Quinn, OD, FAAO, practices optometry with a focus on ocular disease. A biology degree from Indiana University led to a Doctor of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Scholarships and academic awards followed there. Internship and residency training were completed at a Veterans Affairs medical center in Baltimore tied to the Wilmer Ophthalmologic Institute.

The clinical practice covers the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease, conjunctivitis and other external disease among them, together with the care of patients before and after ophthalmic surgery. Referring optometrists and operating surgeons depend on that shared model, and Dr. Quinn teaches it to students at six colleges of optometry. Writing and editing run alongside the clinical work, including a national clinical practice guideline on conjunctivitis care and a standing editorial role at a national optometry journal.

Dr. Quinn is board certified by the American Board of Optometry, holds fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry, and carries distinguished practitioner status in the National Academies of Practice. Professional service has included leading the state optometric society in New Jersey and membership in the American Public Health Association's vision care section. In Dr. Quinn's own words, "Most of what threatens sight is quiet at the start, so my job is to find it early and make sure the patient and the surgeon are working from the same plan.
