David S. Rho, MD, is a retina specialist whose path to eye care started while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. From there, Dr. Rho pursued and earned a medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, building expertise in diagnosis, treatment, and surgery. Dr. Rho then completed an internship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. Dr. Rho then trained as a resident at Lenox Hill Hospital, where the focus was on building real-world experience with patients day after day. Dr. Rho rounded out his training with a fellowship in Vitreoretinal, which gave him a deep, focused understanding of the area where he now spends most of his time helping patients.
Dr. Rho has dedicated a significant part of his career to Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration, and that shows in the quality of care patients receive. Dr. Rho understands that the retina is where clear vision starts, and takes that seriously by staying up to date on the latest ways to protect and treat it. Dr. Rho rounds out his offerings with experience in Retinal Vascular Disorders, and Retina Surgery, making for a well-rounded practice.
