Bio
Debra Weltman, OD, is an optometrist whose path to eye care started while studying at Cornell University. Dr. Weltman followed that with a Doctor of Optometry degree from State University of New York College of Optometry, an experience that gave her strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of patient care. It is this kind of thorough preparation that allows Dr. Weltman to approach each patient visit with both knowledge and confidence. That combination of education and training gives Dr. Weltman a thorough understanding of the many ways eye conditions can affect daily life.
Dr. Weltman's specialty areas include Dry Eye and Pre- and Post-Operative Care, and that focused training is something patients benefit from right away. Cataracts are among the most common eye conditions, and Dr. Weltman has helped many patients work through the process of diagnosis, treatment options, and recovery. Dry eye can affect how you see, how comfortable you feel, and even how well contact lenses work, which is why Dr. Weltman gives it the focused attention it deserves. Dr. Weltman rounds out her offerings with experience in Cataracts, and Ocular Disease Management, making for a well-rounded practice.
Outside the office, Dr. Weltman enjoys running, a habit that keeps her active and energized. Patients are welcome to see Dr. Weltman at Washington Eye Institute Rockville, where every visit is designed to be as comfortable and productive as possible. Dr. Weltman is the kind of provider who remembers what matters to each patient, and that shows in every visit. Dr. Weltman is glad to be a part of your eye health, and looks forward to seeing you.
