Bio
Deena Tailor, OD, is an optometrist with a background that begins at University of Maryland Baltimore County, where she built the academic skills that would shape her career. From there, Dr. Tailor completed her Doctor of Optometry at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, spending years learning how to diagnose and treat the full range of eye conditions. During residency at Brown University, Dr. Tailor honed her ability to handle a wide range of eye care situations under the supervision of experienced physicians. All told, Dr. Tailor brings a wealth of training and real clinical experience to every interaction with a patient.
Dr. Tailor specializes in Comprehensive Eye Exams and Contact Lenses & Fittings, areas where focused expertise makes a real difference for patients. Contact lens fitting requires skill and attention to detail, particularly when a patient's eye has a unique shape or condition, and Dr. Tailor takes a patient-by-patient approach to get it right. Dr. Tailor also has expertise in Pre- and Post-Operative Care, and Low Vision, giving patients access to a wide range of care in one place. The way Dr. Tailor sees it, a patient who understands what is happening with their eyes is a patient who can make the best decisions for their health.
Professionally, Dr. Tailor is affiliated with the American Optometric Association, the Virginia Optometric Association, and the Northern Virginia Optometric Association, which reflects a commitment to keeping up with the latest in eye care. When not seeing patients, Dr. Tailor likes to travel and experience new places whenever possible. Outside of work, Dr. Tailor cherishes time with family, and that same care and attention comes into every patient visit. Patients can see Dr. Tailor at The Eye Center Sterling, The Eye Center Leesburg, or The Eye Center Fairfax, making it easy to find a location that works.
