Bio
Ariel Chen, OD, is an optometrist whose path to eye care started while studying at University of California San Diego. Next came Dr. Chen's Doctor of Optometry at Marshall B. Ketchum University, Southern California College of Optometry, graduating magna cum laude, where she received rigorous training in both the theory and practice of eye care. Dr. Chen has contributed to clinical research in eye care, showing a commitment that goes beyond just seeing patients. Years of careful, step-by-step training have set Dr. Chen up to offer the kind of thorough, personalized care that patients deserve.
Dr. Chen's specialty areas include Myopia Management and Ocular Disease Management, and that focused training is something patients benefit from right away. Finding the right contact lens is not always straightforward, especially for patients with irregular corneas or more complex prescriptions, and Dr. Chen has the training to make sure each fit is just right. For patients with myopia, especially younger ones whose eyes are still changing, Dr. Chen keeps a close eye on how things are progressing and adjusts the plan as needed. Dr. Chen also has expertise in Specialty Contact Lenses, and Vision Therapy, giving patients access to a wide range of care in one place.
In addition to English, Dr. Chen also speaks Mandarin-Chinese, which makes it easier for patients who are more comfortable in their native language to feel at ease. Patients are welcome to see Dr. Chen at Insight Vision Center Optometry, where every visit is designed to be as comfortable and productive as possible. Dr. Chen understands that choosing an eye care provider is an important decision, and hopes to earn your trust. Dr. Chen is here to help, and hopes that your next visit is a great one.
