Bio
Geeta Garg, MD, is a retina specialist who chose to pursue a career in eye care after completing undergraduate studies at University of Rochester. Dr. Garg then earned her medical degree from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, spending years mastering the medical and surgical side of eye care. During residency at George Washington University Medical Center, Dr. Garg rose to become chief resident, showing both clinical ability and the kind of leadership that patients notice. A fellowship in Uveitis and Ocular Immuniology was the final step in Dr. Garg's training, giving her an in-depth look at the specialty that now defines much of her practice.
When it comes to Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration, Dr. Garg brings both deep training and hands-on experience to every appointment. Healthy retinas are at the heart of clear vision, and Dr. Garg is trained to spot early signs of problems that, if left unchecked, could gradually affect how well a patient sees. In addition to those specialties, Dr. Garg works with patients who need help with Retinal Vascular Disorders, and Uveitis & Ocular Inflammation as well. Patient comfort is something Dr. Garg genuinely cares about, which is why every visit includes time to talk things through and answer any questions.
Dr. Garg has also received a grant from the National Institutes of Health, recognizing the value of her contributions to eye care research. Dr. Garg sees patients at Advanced Eye Care Center Wayne, and the goal there is always to make the experience straightforward and stress-free. If you are looking for an eye care provider who will take the time to get to know you, Dr. Garg would be happy to see you. Dr. Garg looks forward to meeting new patients and being a trusted part of their eye care for years to come.
