Bio
Gregory Cox, MD, is an ophthalmologist who began his education at Rutgers University, where he first developed an interest in the science behind eye health. After that, Dr. Cox completed his medical degree at Hahnemann University School of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude, diving deep into the study of how the eye works and how to keep it healthy. Residency training at University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey was where Dr. Cox stepped into the chief resident role, earning recognition for his dedication and leadership. To cap off his education, Dr. Cox pursued a fellowship in Cornea and Refractive Surgery, spending time learning the finer details of this specialty from experts in the field.
Dr. Cox has dedicated a significant part of his career to Glaucoma Surgery and LASIK & Refractive Surgery, and that shows in the quality of care patients receive. Glaucoma tends to progress without causing pain or noticeable changes at first, which is exactly why Dr. Cox places a strong focus on early detection and ongoing monitoring for every patient. Dealing with cataracts is something Dr. Cox does every day, and the approach is always the same: take the time to explain things clearly, answer every question, and make sure the patient feels good about their care. Beyond the core specialties, Dr. Cox also handles Cataract Surgery, and Cornea Surgery, so patients do not have to look far for the care they need.
Dr. Cox is available at the practice location, so patients can choose the spot that is most convenient. New and returning patients alike are always welcome, and Dr. Cox is glad to be part of your eye health journey. From the very first appointment, the goal is to make sure you feel welcome, informed, and well taken care of. Taking good care of your eyes is important at every stage of life, and Dr. Cox is here to make that easier.
