Bio

Jeremy Aikey, DO, is a retina specialist whose path to eye care started while studying at Lehigh University. After that, Dr. Aikey completed his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, diving deep into the study of how the eye works and how to keep it healthy. Dr. Aikey then completed an internship at OhioHealth in Columbus, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. After graduating, Dr. Aikey completed a residency at OhioHealth in Columbus, gaining the kind of patient-facing experience that no classroom can replicate. Most recently, Dr. Aikey completed fellowship training in Vitreo-Retina Surgery and Diseases, an experience that sharpened his skills and gave him real confidence in this area of eye care.

When it comes to Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration, Dr. Aikey brings both deep training and hands-on experience to every appointment. The retina is the thin layer at the back of the eye that converts light into the images your brain processes, and when something goes wrong there, Dr. Aikey works to catch and treat it as early as possible. In addition to those specialties, Dr. Aikey works with patients who need help with Macular Edema, and Retinal Vascular Disorders as well. Each patient who comes in gets Dr. Aikey's full attention and a clear, honest explanation of what is going on and what can be done about it.

Spending time with family is important to Dr. Aikey, and that sense of care extends into how he treats every patient who comes through the door. Patients can visit Dr. Aikey at ReFocus Eye Health Hatboro or ReFocus Eye Health Trappe Collegeville, whichever location works best for them. Dr. Aikey understands that choosing an eye care provider is an important decision, and hopes to earn your trust. When it comes to eye care, Dr. Aikey believes in being straightforward, thorough, and always putting the patient first.
