Bio
Lili Kaplan, MD, is a retina specialist who began her education at University of Pennsylvania, where she first developed an interest in the science behind eye health. Dr. Kaplan followed up with a medical degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, graduating summa cum laude, where the focus shifted to the detailed science of eye diseases and their treatment. During residency at University of Pennsylvania, Dr. Kaplan honed her ability to handle a wide range of eye care situations under the supervision of experienced physicians. A fellowship in Medical Retina was the final step in Dr. Kaplan's training, giving her an in-depth look at the specialty that now defines much of her practice.
Dr. Kaplan's specialty areas include Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration, and that focused training is something patients benefit from right away. Dr. Kaplan understands that the retina is where clear vision starts, and takes that seriously by staying up to date on the latest ways to protect and treat it. In addition to those specialties, Dr. Kaplan works with patients who need help with Macular Edema, and Retinal Vascular Disorders as well. The way Dr. Kaplan sees it, a patient who understands what is happening with their eyes is a patient who can make the best decisions for their health.
Membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Retina Specialists is something Dr. Kaplan values, as it keeps Dr. Kaplan current with the standards and advances in the field. You can see Dr. Kaplan at Retina Associates of Greater Philadelphia North Wales or Retina Associates of Greater Philadelphia King of Prussia, making it easy to find a location that fits your schedule. If you are looking for an eye care provider who will take the time to get to know you, Dr. Kaplan would be happy to see you. Whether it is your first visit or one of many, Dr. Kaplan is glad to welcome you.
