Bio
Mira Amin, MD, is a cataract & cornea surgeon who chose to pursue a career in eye care after completing undergraduate studies at Temple University. Dr. Amin went on to earn her medical degree from Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where she gained a thorough grounding in the science and treatment of eye diseases. Dr. Amin trained as a resident at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she took on the role of chief resident and demonstrated strong leadership throughout. To cap off her education, Dr. Amin pursued a fellowship in Cornea, spending time learning the finer details of this specialty from experts in the field.
When it comes to Glaucoma Surgery and Dry Eye, Dr. Amin brings both deep training and hands-on experience to every appointment. Glaucoma works quietly, and by the time most people notice something wrong, some damage may already have been done, so Dr. Amin emphasizes the importance of regular eye pressure checks and nerve evaluations. For patients who have spent years relying on glasses or contacts, LASIK offers a way to reduce or eliminate that dependence by reshaping the cornea with a laser. In addition to those specialties, Dr. Amin works with patients who need help with LASIK & Refractive Surgery, and General Ophthalmology as well.
Family comes first for Dr. Amin, and that warmth and patience is something patients notice right away. You can visit Dr. Amin at ReFocus Eye Health Hatboro, ReFocus Eye Health Trappe Collegeville, or ReFocus Eye Health North Wales, and any of those locations would be glad to see you. Dr. Amin understands that choosing an eye care provider is an important decision, and hopes to earn your trust. If you have questions or are ready to schedule, Dr. Amin would be happy to see you at any time.
