Bio

Glen M. Bianchi, MD, is a pediatric ophthalmologist & strabismus specialist who earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard University, setting the foundation for a career spent helping people see their best. After that, Dr. Bianchi completed his medical degree at State University of New York at Stony Brook School of Medicine, diving deep into the study of how the eye works and how to keep it healthy. Dr. Bianchi then completed an internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. Dr. Bianchi completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, where he spent years working closely with patients and refining his clinical skills. Most recently, Dr. Bianchi completed fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology, an experience that sharpened his skills and gave him real confidence in this area of eye care.

Dr. Bianchi has dedicated a significant part of his career to Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, and that shows in the quality of care patients receive. Pediatric eye care is something Dr. Bianchi is especially attentive to, because the earlier a vision issue is caught and treated in a child, the better the outcome tends to be. In addition to those specialties, Dr. Bianchi works with patients who need help with Adult Strabismus, Infants, Children, and Adults as well. Whether it is a routine check-up or something more involved, Dr. Bianchi makes sure each patient leaves feeling informed and confident in their next steps.

Membership in the American Academy of Ophthalmology is something Dr. Bianchi values, as it keeps Dr. Bianchi current with the standards and advances in the field. Patients have helped Dr. Bianchi earn Top Doctor status, a testament to the trust and confidence this practice inspires. Outside the office, Dr. Bianchi enjoys running, a habit that keeps him active and energized. Dr. Bianchi enjoys a round of golf now and then, a favorite way to spend time away from work. Dr. Bianchi sees patients at Westwood Ophthalmology Associates, and the goal there is always to make the experience straightforward and stress-free.
