Bio

James Kirszrot, MD, is an ophthalmologist & oculoplastic surgeon whose path to eye care started while studying at Cornell University. Dr. Kirszrot went on to earn his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he gained a thorough grounding in the science and treatment of eye diseases. Dr. Kirszrot then completed an internship at St. Luke’s Roosevelt Hospital, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. After graduating, Dr. Kirszrot completed a residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital–Cornell, gaining the kind of patient-facing experience that no classroom can replicate. Dr. Kirszrot finished his formal training with a fellowship in Two‑year Oculoplastic Surgery, which allowed him to zero in on the kind of care he provides today.

Dr. Kirszrot specializes in Oculoplastic & Cosmetic Surgery and Botox & Fillers, areas where focused expertise makes a real difference for patients. Dry eye happens when the eyes are not producing enough tears to stay comfortable, and it can range from a mild annoyance to something that gets in the way of daily life, which is why Dr. Kirszrot takes it seriously. Dr. Kirszrot also has expertise in Blepharoplasty, and Dry Eye & Tearing, giving patients access to a wide range of care in one place. Whether it is a routine check-up or something more involved, Dr. Kirszrot makes sure each patient leaves feeling informed and confident in their next steps.

Dr. Kirszrot maintains professional ties through the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a sign of ongoing dedication to the craft of eye care. In addition to English, Dr. Kirszrot also speaks French, Hebrew, which makes it easier for patients who are more comfortable in their native language to feel at ease. In addition to patient care, Dr. Kirszrot has spent time teaching, helping future doctors learn the ins and outs of the field.
