Bio

John Siano, DO, is a retina specialist who chose to pursue a career in eye care after completing undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University. Dr. Siano went on to earn his medical degree from New York College of Medicine, where he gained a thorough grounding in the science and treatment of eye diseases. Dr. Siano then completed an internship at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. Dr. Siano completed his residency at Nassau University Medical Center, where he earned the distinction of chief resident, a role that recognizes both skill and leadership. A fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery was the final step in Dr. Siano's training, giving him an in-depth look at the specialty that now defines much of his practice.

When it comes to Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration, Dr. Siano brings both deep training and hands-on experience to every appointment. Healthy retinas are at the heart of clear vision, and Dr. Siano is trained to spot early signs of problems that, if left unchecked, could gradually affect how well a patient sees. Beyond the core specialties, Dr. Siano also handles Macular Edema, and Retina Surgery, so patients do not have to look far for the care they need. Good communication is at the heart of how Dr. Siano practices, and patients consistently find that their questions are answered and their concerns are taken seriously.

Dr. Siano maintains professional ties through the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians, a sign of ongoing dedication to the craft of eye care. Patients can see Dr. Siano at New England Retina Associates Trumbull, New England Retina Associates Hamden, or New England Retina Associates Westport, making it easy to find a location that works. If you are looking for an eye care provider who will take the time to get to know you, Dr. Siano would be happy to see you. Dr. Siano is looking forward to the chance to help, and hopes to see you soon.
