Joyce Varkey, DO, is an ophthalmologist & oculoplastic who chose to pursue a career in eye care after completing undergraduate studies at University of Texas at Dallas. Dr. Varkey followed up with a medical degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, where the focus shifted to the detailed science of eye diseases and their treatment. Dr. Varkey then completed an internship at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. After graduating, Dr. Varkey completed a residency at Oklahoma State University, gaining the kind of patient-facing experience that no classroom can replicate.

Specializing in Cataract Surgery and General Ophthalmology is what sets Dr. Varkey apart, and patients notice that depth of knowledge right from the start.
