Bio

Kevin Dinowitz, MD, is a cataract surgeon & cornea specialist who began his education at State University of New York, where he first developed an interest in the science behind eye health. Dr. Dinowitz went on to earn his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he gained a thorough grounding in the science and treatment of eye diseases. Dr. Dinowitz completed his residency at University of Texas Medical Branch, where he spent years working closely with patients and refining his clinical skills. Dr. Dinowitz finished his formal training with a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease, which allowed him to zero in on the kind of care he provides today.

Specializing in Cornea Surgery and Advanced Cataract Surgery is what sets Dr. Dinowitz apart, and patients notice that depth of knowledge right from the start. Treating glaucoma starts with catching it early, and Dr. Dinowitz has the training and tools to do exactly that, giving patients the best chance at protecting their long-term vision. Cataracts are one of the most common reasons people come in noticing a change in their vision, and Dr. Dinowitz guides each patient through the process of understanding and addressing this condition. Dr. Dinowitz also has expertise in Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS), and Dry Eye & Tearing, giving patients access to a wide range of care in one place.

Professionally, Dr. Dinowitz is affiliated with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the Connecticut Society of Eye Physicians, which reflects a commitment to keeping up with the latest in eye care. Patients can visit Dr. Dinowitz at ReFocus Eye Health Bloomfield (NW) or ReFocus Eye Health Avon, whichever location works best for them. From the very first appointment, the goal is to make sure you feel welcome, informed, and well taken care of. Dr. Dinowitz looks forward to getting to know each patient and helping them take care of their vision for years to come.
