Laura B Hall, MD, FAAO, is a cataract surgeon who began her education at University of Pennsylvania, where she first developed an interest in the science behind eye health. Dr. Hall went on to earn her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, graduating magna cum laude, where she gained a thorough grounding in the science and treatment of eye diseases. Dr. Hall then completed an internship at Saint Mary’s Hospital, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. Dr. Hall completed her residency at Yale New Haven Hospital, where she spent years working closely with patients and refining her clinical skills.

Dr. Hall's specialty areas include Dry Eye and Cataract Surgery, and that focused training is something patients benefit from right away. Cataracts slowly make the lens less clear, which can affect everything from reading a menu to watching a favorite show, and Dr. Hall has the experience to help patients through every stage of treatment. Dry eye happens when the eyes are not producing enough tears to stay comfortable, and it can range from a mild annoyance to something that gets in the way of daily life, which is why Dr. Hall takes it seriously.
