Bio

Leanne Heuer, OD, is an optometrist who earned her undergraduate degree from Salisbury University, setting the foundation for a career spent helping people see their best. Dr. Heuer followed that with a Doctor of Optometry degree from Nova Southeastern University, graduating magna cum laude, an experience that gave her strong clinical skills and a deep understanding of patient care. Dr. Heuer then trained as a resident at Wilmington VA Medical Center, where the focus was on building real-world experience with patients day after day. That background gives patients every reason to feel confident they are in good, experienced hands.

When it comes to Cataracts and Primary Eye Care, Dr. Heuer brings both deep training and hands-on experience to every appointment. Cataracts are something Dr. Heuer sees regularly, and with each patient, the goal is the same: make sure they understand what is happening, feel comfortable, and come out the other side with clear, healthy vision. Finding the right contact lens is not always straightforward, especially for patients with irregular corneas or more complex prescriptions, and Dr. Heuer has the training to make sure each fit is just right. Dr. Heuer rounds out her offerings with experience in Contact Lenses & Fittings, and Ocular Disease Management, making for a well-rounded practice.
