Bio

Neil Kalbag, MD, is a retina specialist who earned his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, setting the stage for a career focused on eye care. Dr. Kalbag completed his residency at St. Luke’s University Hospital, where he spent years working closely with patients and refining his clinical skills. Dr. Kalbag finished his formal training with a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery, which allowed him to zero in on the kind of care he provides today. Dr. Kalbag has contributed to clinical research in eye care, showing a commitment that goes beyond just seeing patients.

Dr. Kalbag has dedicated a significant part of his career to Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration, and that shows in the quality of care patients receive. The retina converts light into the signals that become the images you see, and Dr. Kalbag knows that even small changes there can have a big effect on daily life, which is why regular monitoring matters. Beyond the core specialties, Dr. Kalbag also handles Retinal Vascular Disorders, and Retina & Vitreous Disease, so patients do not have to look far for the care they need. From the first visit onward, Dr. Kalbag works to make sure patients feel at ease, informed, and confident that they are getting the right care.

Music is something Dr. Kalbag enjoys outside of work, whether that means playing or simply listening. Dr. Kalbag sees patients at ReFocus Eye Health Danbury, and the goal there is always to make the experience straightforward and stress-free. Dr. Kalbag understands that choosing an eye care provider is an important decision, and hopes to earn your trust. Clear, comfortable vision is what every patient deserves, and Dr. Kalbag is committed to helping you get there.
