Bio

Patrick K. Chin, MD, is an ophthalmologist, cataract & lasik surgeon who chose to pursue a career in eye care after completing undergraduate studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Chin followed up with a medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (UMDNJ), where the focus shifted to the detailed science of eye diseases and their treatment. Dr. Chin then completed an internship at UMDNJ University Hospital, gaining hands-on experience with real patients in a clinical setting. During residency at New York University Medical Center, Dr. Chin honed his ability to handle a wide range of eye care situations under the supervision of experienced physicians. To cap off his education, Dr. Chin pursued a fellowship in Cataract & Refractive Surgery, spending time learning the finer details of this specialty from experts in the field.

Dr. Chin has dedicated a significant part of his career to LASIK & Refractive Surgery and Premium IOLs & LAL, and that shows in the quality of care patients receive. As the lens of the eye gradually clouds, it can take the sharpness out of everyday vision, and Dr. Chin helps patients figure out the best way to address it when the time is right. For patients who have spent years relying on glasses or contacts, LASIK offers a way to reduce or eliminate that dependence by reshaping the cornea with a laser.
