Bio
Paul Lagonigro, MD, is a retina specialist who earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine, setting the stage for a career focused on eye care. Residency training at New York Medical College gave Dr. Lagonigro hands-on experience across many areas of eye care, preparing him well for the years ahead. A fellowship in VitreoRetinal medicine was the final step in Dr. Lagonigro's training, giving him an in-depth look at the specialty that now defines much of his practice. Patients can feel confident that Dr. Lagonigro brings both strong training and real care to every appointment.
Dr. Lagonigro has dedicated a significant part of his career to Diabetic Retinopathy and Macular Degeneration, and that shows in the quality of care patients receive. The retina converts light into the signals that become the images you see, and Dr. Lagonigro knows that even small changes there can have a big effect on daily life, which is why regular monitoring matters. Beyond the core specialties, Dr. Lagonigro also handles Retinal Vascular Disorders, and Retina & Vitreous Disease, so patients do not have to look far for the care they need. Dr. Lagonigro believes that every patient deserves a clear explanation and enough time to ask questions, and that is what they get at every visit.
Dr. Lagonigro maintains professional ties through the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a sign of ongoing dedication to the craft of eye care. Family comes first for Dr. Lagonigro, and that warmth and patience is something patients notice right away. You can visit Dr. Lagonigro at Atlantic Retina Center Salisbury, Atlantic Retina Center Ocean Pines, or Atlantic Retina Center Dover, and any of those locations would be glad to see you. The practice is built around making patients feel at ease, and Dr. Lagonigro is proud to be at the heart of that.
