Dr. Paul Zerbinopoulos, known as Dr. "Z," is a board-certified optometrist with expertise in specialty contact lenses, including scleral lenses and lenses for myopia control in children. With extensive experience in treating corneal pathology and dry eye, he has been a dedicated provider of advanced eye care since 1990. Dr. "Z" is deeply committed to community service and enhancing vision health for his patients.

Bio

Dr. Paul Zerbinopoulos is a board-certified optometrist with specific interests in specialty contact lenses including scleral contact lenses, contact lenses to control of myopia progression in children and dry eye. He has been fitting scleral lenses for corneal pathology since 2008. Dr. Zerbinopoulos completed his undergraduate studies at Framingham State College where he was class president.

Dr. “Z” graduated from the New England College of Optometry and later became a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.

Dr. Zerbinopoulos joined the staff at South County Eye Physicians & Surgeons, Inc. in 1990 and joined Rhode Island Eye Institute in 2012. He has served on the Governor’s Commission to Develop Educational Standards for Visually Impaired Children and is past president of the Rhode Island Optometric Association and the Rotary Club of Wakefield and has also served as the states InfantSee.org coordinator.

Dr. “Z” is a recipient of the national Vision USA award in recognition of fundraising to provide vision care services to uninsured working poor in Rhode Island.

Dr. “Z” and his wife reside in South County with their son & daughter
