Sarah Anis, MD, specializes in glaucoma, and diseases and surgery of the anterior segment. Dr. Anis completed her residency in ophthalmology from Nagpur, India and Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed a glaucoma research fellowship from New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York and her glaucoma clinical fellowship at Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, Maryland, two of the most prestigious eye institutions in the United States.

Dr. Anis specializes in surgical and medical treatment of open angle, closed angle and secondary glaucoma. She performs glaucoma laser surgery as well as glaucoma surgeries, including the tube shunt surgeries that help lower intraocular pressure.

After completing her fellowship in 2010, Dr. Anis joined the Rhode Island Eye Institute, where she is providing care to all forms of glaucoma patients. She resides with her husband and children in Barrington, Rhode Island.
