Bio
Sofia Ribolla, OD, is an optometrist with a background that begins at Cornell University, where she built the academic skills that would shape her career. From there, Dr. Ribolla completed her Doctor of Optometry at SUNY College of Optometry, spending years learning how to diagnose and treat the full range of eye conditions. Dr. Ribolla then trained as a resident at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, where the focus was on building real-world experience with patients day after day. Together, these experiences have given Dr. Ribolla a strong and well-rounded foundation that patients benefit from every day.
Specializing in Dry Eye and Pre- and Post-Operative Care is what sets Dr. Ribolla apart, and patients notice that depth of knowledge right from the start. Getting the right contact lens matters more than most people realize, especially when there is an underlying condition involved, and Dr. Ribolla is experienced in navigating those details. Dry eye happens when the eyes are not producing enough tears to stay comfortable, and it can range from a mild annoyance to something that gets in the way of daily life, which is why Dr. Ribolla takes it seriously. In addition to those specialties, Dr. Ribolla works with patients who need help with Primary Eye Care, and Contact Lenses & Fittings as well.
Dr. Ribolla maintains professional ties through the American Optometric Association and the Connecticut State Optometric Association, a sign of ongoing dedication to the craft of eye care. Dr. Ribolla enjoys exploring new destinations in spare time, bringing a curiosity about the world into everything. Family is at the heart of Dr. Ribolla's life outside the practice, and that grounded sense of care is reflected in how she treats patients. Dr. Ribolla sees patients at Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates, and the goal there is always to make the experience straightforward and stress-free.
