Bio

Swati Parekh, MD, FAAO, is a cataract surgeon & glaucoma specialist who earned her undergraduate degree from Boston University, setting the foundation for a career spent helping people see their best. Dr. Parekh then earned her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, spending years mastering the medical and surgical side of eye care. During residency at Boston University, Dr. Parekh honed her ability to handle a wide range of eye care situations under the supervision of experienced physicians. That background gives patients every reason to feel confident they are in good, experienced hands.

When it comes to Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) and Glaucoma Surgery, Dr. Parekh brings both deep training and hands-on experience to every appointment. Glaucoma can sneak up without warning, and the damage it causes to the optic nerve is often invisible until it is already significant, so Dr. Parekh makes screening for it a priority. For patients dealing with dry, uncomfortable eyes, Dr. Parekh offers a thorough evaluation and a range of treatment approaches tailored to each person's situation.
