Tanja Moennichmeyer, OD, is an optometrist whose academic path began at Muhlenberg College with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. The Doctor of Optometry degree followed at Pennsylvania College of Optometry, which also hosted the first of several clinical rotations. Later placements ran through Solomon, Snyder & Klein and through the trauma service at Einstein Hospital and Trauma Center, adding private-practice optometry and hospital-based emergency care to a foundation in primary eye care.

The day-to-day work sits on either side of the operating room. Patients arrive first for the measurements and examinations that determine whether LASIK, another refractive procedure, or cataract surgery is appropriate, and they return afterward for the visits that track healing and confirm that vision has settled. Glaucoma and dry eye are handled on a longer horizon, with pressure checks, imaging, and treatment changes made as the eye responds over months and years. Across both groups the aim is early detection, plain explanation, and a willingness to change course when the findings call for it.

Dr. Moennichmeyer belongs to the American Optometric Association along with state and county optometric societies. In Dr. Moennichmeyer's own words, "Surgery is one day, but the weeks around it are where a patient needs someone watching closely. I want every patient to walk in knowing what will happen and walk out knowing what comes next." Patients can visit Dr. Moennichmeyer at Kremer Eye Center in King of Prussia.
