What is Monovision?

Monovision is a technique where one eye is corrected for distance vision and the other for near vision. Your brain learns to use each eye for different tasks. This can reduce or eliminate the need for reading glasses after LASIK. It's not right for everyone, so your doctor will help you test this option before surgery.

Additional Screening: At 55+, early cataract screening is important before LASIK consideration.

Cataract Consideration: At 65+, cataracts are likely present or imminent. Lens-based surgery (cataract surgery with premium IOL or RLE) is generally preferred over LASIK.
